Why document your birth?

Birth, no matter how it unfolds, can feel like a blur with details slipping away as quickly as they arrive. Photography offers a way to process and see those moments from a new perspective with clarity.

My intention as a birth photographer is to reflect back to you the strength, resilience, and power you embodied. To capture the way you were held, by your partner, and by your care team.To give you tangible proof of your capability which then becomes a reminder of your own courage that you can carry forward into your journey as a parent.

These images hold the first breath, the first gaze, the first meeting between you and your baby. They are a testament to the love, effort, and beauty of bringing a new life into the world. When birth doesn’t go quite as planned, having images can be an important tool used to process the events and the experience. Many parents often have questions after the fact abut what they went through- these questions can often be answered through the images.

Holding space for parents and babies during this journey is nothing short of magic, and it is my deepest privilege to support and bear witness to it.
