Family on Film
An intentional and collaborative session designed to capture your family’s unique style. I view my work not merely as a documentation service, but as art created in collaboration with you. My goal is to create imagery that reflects the story of your family, both the one you wish to tell and the one in front of me. I’d say it’s part documentary and part editorial. We’ll start by discussing your needs, desires and vision for your family photographs. Based upon that I’ll come up with some ideas for images to jump start the creative dialogue.
The shoot itself will be a mix of intentional portraits and candid moments as they naturally unfold. I will provide gentle direction and guidance to give us the best chance of success, while also pausing and waiting for the magical moments to occur. Shooting on film is a slower, more thoughtful process. I’m noticing, observing, and waiting for the right moments.

Prenatal on film Maternity
An intentional session to honor your transformational journey in pregnancy. I view my work not merely as a documentation service, but as art created in collaboration with you. We’ll start by discussing your needs, desires and vision for your prenatal photographs. Based upon that I’ll come up with some ideas for images to jump start the creative dialogue between us. If you have an older child already and want to include them, I recommend doing the full Family session above.

Postpartum Witness work on film
Newborn
A natural, unposed photoshoot to beautifully capture your postpartum experience. This session is more about being witnessed in your postpartum state, capturing the new family together and tender moments of physical closeness. Skin on skin snuggles in the sunlight, feeding, sleeping, bath time, precious newborn tiny toes- I’ll be aiming to preserve all of that. No need to plan or get dressed or tidy please. Just you and your baby, exactly as you are.

My experience as a birth doula puts me at a unique vantage point to document your birth. I know when to step back, when to step in, I am familiar with the process of birth and have seen all different kinds of births in all the settings. They’re all uniquely different, beautiful and worth preserving.
